In October of 2019, the Detroit Association of Women's Clubs, Inc. hosted an unveiling to celebrate the secondary rename of the southwest street corners of Brush and E. Ferry. The street signs now read, "Dr. Rosa L. Gragg Blvd." Approximately seventy-eight years after the clubhouse's purchase, President Angela Calloway worked alongside club members and the Detroit City Council to bring honor to Dr. Gragg's legacy.

On Sunday, February 10th, a group of volunteers gathered at the clubhouse, to make Valentine's Day cards for patients at the Children's Hospital. With supplies like glitter, heart stickers, markers and construction paper, volunteers were able to unleash their creative abilities and create as many cards as they pleased. Though the event was only scheduled for two hours, volunteers stayed longer to fellowship and give back to their community. In high spirits, these volunteers gathered and created over forty handmade cards. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. We thank you on behalf of the DAWC and the Children's Hospital.
Happy New Year from the DAWC! In January, the club hosted two enVISION board parties. Upon arrival guests were welcomed by light refreshments, mountains of magazines, music and supplies. Magazines were donated from the Detroit Public Library and refreshments were provided from beloved volunteers. Glitter, markers, tape, stickers, glue sticks and other school supplies were provided by the club for guests to fill their boards with their envisions for the new year. Those who gathered were able to scavenge for inspirational words and quotes to decorate and share with others. At the end of each session, guests were encouraged to share what their boards meant and what goals they'd set for themselves. Check out photos from both parties!
